Recent developments at Alinea Computer over the past few months and an outlook

We have released numerous new products for the Amiga in recent months and would like to briefly summarise them in this announcement. We also wish to provide an outlook on future developments.

Already released:

Power Hub for floppy drive power cables
The Power Hub is a splitter with 4 additional sockets for floppy drive power cables, designed to supply power to internal hardware within the Amiga.

Rear panel for Amiga 1200
This aluminium rear panel (1 mm thick) is intended as a replacement for the old aluminium sheet on the Amiga 1200. The backplate stabilises the sockets and fills the gaps.

Amiga 1200 LED backplate / WLED controller
When used in conjunction with the WLED controller, the LED backplate allows the Amiga 1200 to be illuminated, with the lighting controlled via a browser or a mobile app over Wi-Fi.

Langley 1200/500 Adapter
The Langley 1200/500 Adapter is a multifunctional adapter for the Amiga 1200/500. Currently, it can be used to switch the KickROM flash via the keyboard and to record and replay keyboard inputs.

Planned for the future:

Langley 600
Same functionality as the Langley 1200/500

Firmware update for all Langley models
The firmware will be updated for all Langley models over the coming weeks. For example, it is intended to work in conjunction with the WLED controller so that you can switch the lighting on and off via the keyboard and do not always have to reach for the WLED mobile phone.

Back panel for Amiga 500 with and without LEDs
This back panel will also be made of aluminium, but will be designed to fit the Amiga 500. Just like the current A1200 version, it will feature 30 LEDs.

Adapted version of the WLED controller for the Amiga 500
As with the back panel with and without LEDs, the WLED controller for the Amiga 500 will also be adapted so that it can be securely fitted inside the case.
